DISCLAIMER

I have an enhanced CRB check and have full Public Liability Insurance. The face paints that I use are Diamond FX, Snazaroo, and Grimas, which all comply with EU regulations.  They have antibacterial/hypoallergenic properties, are water based, and are FDA approved for professional cosmetic use.  As with any cosmetics, some people may be sensitive to any or all of the ingredients, should you have ANY concerns regarding a possible reaction to face paints, please discuss with me before being painted.  Please also inform me (prior to painting) if you or the child has sensitive skin. I can do a small patch test 20 minutes to 1 hour before the face is painted to be sure of no irritation. Should a reaction occur I will be unable to paint the child.

I am unable to paint anyone who, appears to be suffering from:- open wounds, cold sores, chicken pox, measles, mumps, runny noses, conjunctivitis, infectious skin conditions, eczema or appears unwell. In these instances I can offer an arm or hand design where possible.

Children (and their actions) remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.

BEFORE
• Children should be well supervised (by a responsible adult) and not left unattended whilst they are waiting, to avoid disruption.
• I am unable to paint children less than 3 years of age or unaccompanied children (open events only).
• Please finish eating and drinking before I start painting.
• The area to be painted needs to be CLEAN and DRY - Please wipe noses & mouths before being seated for painting.

DURING
• I will help small children into the chair and let more capable climb in themselves.
• Parents/Guardians must stay with the child whilst they are being painted. (open events only).
• Anything I consider to be in-appropriate or offensive, will NOT be painted.

AFTER
• I accept no responsibility should face paint get transferred onto clothing, carpets or other soft furnishings.
• TO REMOVE - use your normal brand of soap & warm water
• Some colours (usually green and blue) may leave a light tint on the skin. Baby shampoo is good at removing any residual staining/tinting of the skin.

Brushes are thoroughly cleaned after every session and water is changed regularly. One sponge is used per child and are washed on a high temperature in the washing machine.

I will not be held liable for any child or adult that reacts to face paints and likewise make up products.

PARTIES
A written consent must be signed for each child from the parent to agree that the child can be painted. (It is probably easiest to add a comment on the party invitations i.e. a face painter will be at my party. I do/do not give permission for this child to be painted). I will not paint a child that hasn’t had the permission slip signed.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you are unable to do so i.e. permission slip has been misplaced, please ring in advance of party to discuss possible alternatives such as a written note.  The booking client is responsible for obtaining written consent.

PHOTOGRAPHS
I do not take photographs without the consent of the person/parent/guardian.  I may ask for consent to take a photograph once you or your child is painted for use in advertising (ie: my website, flyers, and posters). You are under no obligation to give consent.
